WHICH WAY THE CAST JUMPS by Ava Silvers: Allow a full day for this NC17 paranormal involving grief, both fresh and old. 4*

Emissary by A.L. Morrow: Allow a day for this steamy MM celestial romance which travels all over the place. 4 1/2*

FIGHT FOR DARKNESS by Susan Stradiotto and Sophia-Rose Johnson: Allow two days for this mature adult cage-fighting paranormal supernatural fantasy phasing between Wickney, Wisconsin, and Penumbra. Trigger warnings for graphic violence and sexual abuse of a minor. 4*

Inheritance by Skye Callahan: Allow a long afternoon for this PG15 supernatural rescue romance involving experimentation on a child. 5*

Shadow and Soul by A. R. Colbert: Allow an afternoon for this PG13 paranormal romance quest for the missing ingredient. 5*

BENEATH THE WAVES OF NEVERSEA by K.A. Last: Allow a day for this strange fantasy adventure when Wendeline, Jonathan, and Michael follow Peter Pan to Neverland. Ronan Hatter is sent there by his mother, the Queen of Hearts, and this is what happens. 5*

Inferno Games by Elise Knight: Allow a solid two days (or three) for this adult paranormal supernatural visit to Hell where Quinn Amelia Valentine, 28, is seeking her kid sister Jenny Alicia Valentine. 4 1/2*.… (mehr)

I received a free ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Sophie has never been valued for her gift or her role as the Alpha's daughter, except as the terms of a deal between packs. While on her way to be delivered - yes, really - to her husband-to-be, she meets the first guy to make her feel worthwhile. Timing, eh?

Of course, unhappy as she is, Sophie has no idea what her husband or life will be like, and find herself in trouble and needing help from the one she wishes was hers to keep. Remy is, of course, not only the perfect protector, but also in many ways written to be the underdog we all love to root for. Together, they make for a great against-all-odds story.

While I haven't read the first book, I didn't find myself lost in the story or the characters. There's enough mention of the previous plot to make you curious to find and pick up the previous book, but in all, What a Wolf Dares is a complete story with its own satisfying ending. I would certainly be interested in finding more books from this author, as it was well worth the read.… (mehr)

I liked this story.
It's well written.
It has it's own slant on the shifter mate connection and shifter history.
Brooding dominant Hero and strong heroine.
At times the heroine makes unwise choices but this is covered by the fact that she was raised mostly by humans.
No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine but the heroine has an ex in the past and there is a brief scene where she almost gets intimate with him.
Secondary characters for future books in series possibly and breadcrumbs dropped for next book.
HEA.

Good story.
Possible triggers as deals with an abusive relationship though not detailed.
Loved Remy.
Despite his past there is no other woman drama.
Other man drama for heroine as she is arranged to match with an Alpha from another pack but the bond was not completed.
No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine.
Breadcrumbs dropped for Dom' s story and updates on previous couple from book 1.
HEA.

To me there was no cheating.
The heroine is in a forces arranged mating, vows were taken but the bond as not completed as she refused to cooperate.
It does refer to her as the other alphas wife and him as her husband at times but she says they are not husband and wife.… (mehr)
