Pierrot as he is affectionately known, is one of France's national treasures! Often so beautifully poetic to the point of reducing you to sobbing like a small child; to coming out with such colourful metaphors as would make a seasoned car mechanic blush. His repertoire and manipulation of the French language is second to none (with perhaps the exception of George Brassens). A linguistic genius or a crass street poet? You decide.
As a reference book, this dictionary of common and not so common French slang words and their meanings, always has a place on my bookshelf for those moments when I simply feel lost for words.
