The illustrative book gives facts about the brain in an appropriate manner for primary and intermediate students. It talks about different parts of the brain such as the cerebellum and hippocampus. It talks about what brains are capable of doing and what they help us do. The illustrations make reading this book so fun. I would love to use this in an intermediate classroom when we are learning about the body such as bones. I think this book does a great job at expanding thinking and introducing advanced ideas/topics.

- I would use with any age group!
- This is a very interesting book because it is a picture book but it also shows how the brain works with pretty finite detail! Love it!

This books main focus is on the different functions of the brain. It talks about how neurons are how we make connections and learn, as well as many other concepts about growth mindset I think this would be a great book to use as a read aloud / lesson for young kids, and break the concepts up into multiple lessons. But I also think this could work for upper elementary when going over a lesson about growth mindset and how it works.

I really enjoyed this book because it explained different parts of your brain and used medical terms but in a way that would be easy for young children to understand. The book talked about how important it is to try new things and stretch your brain and that it is possible to shape your brain. I think this would be good for mid primary students so they will be able to better grasp the terms used in the book.

This is a sweet book about a little girl who is learning all about different ways of thinking about things, and that not everyone is the same. I think this book would be great for young primary grades for a story time book. I really enjoyed it, and I think kids will as well.

This book explains the functions of the brain and how learning new things leading up to and around age 10 accelerates the growth of the brain. This book could serve as a really cool motivator for students when it comes to learning and could be a great book to use when teaching growth mindset. This book would be appropriate for early to intermediate readers.

The book is about the brain and what it does such as thinking, move your body, and it is an organ in you body. It then discusses the different aspects of the brain and tier functions. I would recommend the book because it has a message that it is okay to make mistakes and learn something new. It also provides helpful information about the brain. This book would be great for 2nd graders or a read aloud for 1st to 3rd graders.½

This is a great book to teach students about the brain, and the illustrations help tell the information in an engaging way. The book also teaches about having growth mindsets, and I think this would be a great read-aloud if you are talking to students about developing this kind of mindset. This book would be great for 2nd/4th graders because of the length of the book, younger students may not be able to sit and listen for as long.½

This book was required summer reading for all 6th-8th grade students at my daughter's school. It was also recommended that the parents read it, so I did. It's quite short with lots of illustrations, and therefore touches only pretty lightly on the topic, but the information is good. I would probably recommend that if your child is curious about the psychological processes that accompany adolescence that you may wish to pair this title with an additional book of greater depth.
