I had expected more from this book. Being a floor plan junkie, I have looked at a lot of home plans books and neither the elevations nor the floor plans were as good as many I have seen in other recent home plan books. The exterior detailing was bland and generic; the interior layouts were uninspired and I saw nothing new or innovative. After studying this book I went back to my floor plan books from the Victorian era and I think they may have been more workable and practical for daily living than the new designs in this book.

I thought this was a do it yourself book, but what it really is, is a book of plans you can order. Its more or less a catalog.
