Vanshika Prusty

"Rebel" by Vanshika Prusty, was an awfully dull, boring, and poorly written book. Reading a few chapters of it (from someone else's copy before it was returned), I found along other readers, that I simply could not get past the first few chapters. The book itself was terribly boring, it reminded me of the "Divergent" series in terms of dystopian. Although dystopian is getting old and is overdone, a good author could spark up creativity and plot action regardless if any genre was "overdone". Unfortunately, this was not the case here. I'm confused as to why the author released several editions with errors and editing problems? It's not uncommon to see 16 year olds publishing books anymore, but again, youth not being an excuse to publish a book covered with grammatical and editing errors. The errors themselves lost me, I couldn't read through them, and the plot to me was overdone with too much unnecessary romance. Some dialogue seemed "unnecessary" as well (mostly because it seemed childish?). The writing was choppy and overloaded, the same descriptions for just about everything. The writing style didn't flow. With what seems to be the plot, I also didn't understand the cover which seems to be a stock image of a galaxy cut and paste with some birds. The cover was enough not to make it interesting. I'm not one to give up a book half way, but this was the exception. I'm sure a younger audience might like it, but it definitely was not an interesting or good read, and the plot was thrown off.… (mehr)
