This is a collection of 4 shorts about Mail Order Brides. In each case, women, forced by circumstances, advertise to be a mail order bride. Three of the women accept a man based on reply letters, travel to him, and find him to be exactly as he described himself. (I am not sure that in real life, there weren't men who preyed on these women.) In one case, a woman accepts a suitor and takes money/ticket from him, but then meets someone else on her way to that person. No mention is made if she/they reimbursed the man for the ticket he gave to her, expecting to get a bride out of the deal.… (mehr)
