A mixture of romance and suspense, that didn't always sit well together. I found Abby's constant eulogising about Jenson and how someone so rich and handsome could possibly be genuinly attracted to someone as ordinary as her, a bit hard to take in this day and age. And Jenson's "masterful" manner equally annoying in places.

The murder/mystery aspect was ok and did keep me guessing right until the villain was revealed.

But none of it really kept me gripped and I did have a break of a week in the middle. One of the reasons for that was the irritatingly poor proof-reading of the kindle edition. The corpse that Abby finds in her apartment in the first chapter has the nickname Willy. But the spelling alternates between Willy and Willie throughout the book, sometimes four times on the same page. There are other typos, such as Viably instead of Visably. This sort of thing made me look at the whole story more critically than I might otherwise have done.… (mehr)
