Worthy of Redemption is one of those stories that captures your heart. Redemption fleshed out tends to tug at your heartstrings, especially when forgiveness is the hardest choice to make. Heath and Ashlynn each have to make that hard choice, each for different reasons, but that choice sets them free, and opens the door to something that is truly beautiful.

I instantly fell in love with this book for a myriad of reasons, but it was also a tough read for me at the same time, but not in the way you’d imagine. While I was reading Worthy of Redemption my grandfather lost his long battle with Alzheimer’s, so this story took on a special meaning for me, and will forever be the novel I was reading when my grandfather passed on.

A well-written and character driven story, Worthy of Redemption shines brightly. I loved reading the prayers from each character and even prayed them myself at times, which was a soothing balm for me, especially when I didn’t know the words to pray myself in my own situation.

A truly touching story that I can’t recommend enough. It’s amazing when God uses even a work of fiction to touch lives in unexpected ways.

Worthy of Redemption by Krystina Renae Rankin was a book that delivered in so many ways. Rankin’s debut left me wanting more (so it’s a good thing this is the first book in a series).

One tragedy has affected Ashlynn and Heath in different ways. Ashlynn found a calling through it yet she still holds resentment and unforgiveness. Heath’s future was also changed by the tragedy, and through the years he’s carried guilt. This book is their journey of discovery—about that night, themselves, and each other.

Rankin takes readers through a natural progression of animosity and unforgiveness to acceptance, redemption, and more. There are wrong turns and potholes along the way, but the beauty of the destination is the road Ashlynn and Heath take to get there.

I highly recommend this debut author and will be keeping an eye out for the next book in the series.

Disclosure statement: I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.
