I would give this book either a 2.5 or 3 stars. I’m still conflicted about how I feel about it to be honest but maybe at the end of my review I’ll be able to really tell you a good honest rating. I have a bunch of notes that made zero sense when it came to writing this review.

Characters:
The characters did not feel real to me. I couldn’t really connect with them, they felt very one dimensional. I didn’t understand why they acted a certain way. For example, Leo was sometimes a jerk and I didn’t understand why. I also didn’t really believe Leo and Lillian’s story but I think that if the author had included more of a backstory like what happened all those years ago, how they meet, etc. I would’ve believed their chemistry a lot more. I wanted to get a better sense of who they were. I also felt like maybe too many characters were mentioned at times like the friends, I knew they played a significant part of the story but I felt I knew them a little better then I did Leo and Lillian.

What I liked about this story:
One of the things I loved most about this story was Leo’s relationship with his mother. I thought it was the only realistic relationship in the book. It was really sweet and it was the one time I truly felt Leo was a true person.

The Story
The story had many missing parts at least it seemed to me. Like I mentioned, I wanted to understand more of Leo and Lillan’s history because that definitely would’ve made the story so much better in my opinion. I also felt like I was being told the story instead of really immersing myself in the story. Not sure if that makes sense, but you know when you visualize the world while you’re reading? I didn’t get that with Destiny. Some parts were predictable but the ending most definitely wasn’t. Although, I had a couple issues with the book I would like to see what Adela brings to the table.

Overall,
I think with some improvements in the next story the book would actually be really good. However, for me this story fell a bit flat for me therefore I’d rate it maybe a 2.85.

I love the cover and the title! I was immediately intrigued with both and couldn’t wait to read the story. I was a bit hesitant because the story is so short and that could mean one of two things. One the story would fall flat because it didn’t have time to build up or two it leaves you wanting more. I’d have to say in the case of Tainted it left me wanting more. Gosh, if this was a full length novel it would be freaking amazing!

I loved how much Adela was able to include in the story, a little bit of background for both characters so that you could get a basic understanding of them. I especially liked that Rose was independent, didn’t take no crap from no one nor did she listen to anyone. I thought it was nice to see a strong female character for once.

I enjoyed the action, the twists and everything in between. I wish this had been longer because I’m sure I would have really enjoyed seeing Rose grow into an even better women.

THIS IS A MUST READ AND OMG YOU HAVE TO READ IT!! I was gifted with a copy of this book from the author Adele R. N. in exchange for an honest opinion. This is Mismousey's very honest opinion, of her very delectable and intriguing book.
Upon opening her book and starting to read it- the author is able to capture you and draw right in to her web of weaving. Her writing is so magnificent - The way that this wonderful author is able to bring a crime and love with each together is pure genius.
The cover of this amazing book has been crafted so creatively - it makes you want to read the book "TAINTED", and as for the blurb well that draws you into the storyline so much more.
Here you have a story about a cop named Rose and man named Aaron who wants out of the drug world before he starts killing. He has done everything that has been asked of him and he is afraid that he will soon be asked to start whacking people off.
He has one big plan before he gets out and that is to rip off both of his bosses making them think that the other did the job.
The night Aarons his plan goes down it turns out bad. Officer Rose has been told not to go out alone into the projects but she doesn't listen. She hears a noise and goes to investigate it bullets start flying everywhere and her gun goes missing. Before the night is over Aaron is in her protective custody and she is hiding him from 2 different crime lords.
Will she be able to keep him safe?? What happens between?? This amazing crime/love story has a twist and turns it. You never know is going to happen next in this couples life.
I recommend this book to everyone to read. The author Adela R N has a written a fantastic and terrific story. One that I would love to read more of. This is one book that you would not want to miss reading, Man , you are a genius and please write more about Aaron and Rose !! Now as to MisMousey's rating - I give this a firm rating of 45 out of 5 stars. This book is one that you will not put down till you have devoured the very last word it.
