Christina Roberts

Cassidy Sundance, one of many aliases, is on the run after committing a crime. This book chronicles her travels and experiences with life on the road/run. Ultimately, her journey around the country also becomes a journey of self discovery.

The unusual of the basis for the story, her running after accidentally torching a 7-11 (which I still haven't been able to figure out the logistics of unless the store was crammed entirely of fireworks & not made of concrete as they typically are) and the initial kindness of strangers, help to set the tone and pace for this story. The tone and pace both lean toward finding the good in people with a fast pace.

The narrative is crisp and descriptive.

Dialogue helps to define characters as well as their conflicts.

Overall, an intriguing read.… (mehr)
