Though there was some good advice about choosing the right breed, I got the feeling that the author is one of those self-righteous dog rescuers who thinks a rare few can properly care for a dog and needs to spend lots of money to do so. I've fostered and adopted rescue pups, so I understand her concern about dogs being abandoned because owners weren't prepared, but her writing came off kinda snotty. I also felt like her book was geared toward singles with money to burn - you don't have to be rich to give a dog a good home!… (mehr)
