A very fictionalised version of the story of the Gloster Gladiators, nicknamed Faith, Hope and Charity, that were the only defenders of the island of Malta in the early stages of the Second World War. The books is an OK read, but when the real story is so amazing, there doesn't seem much point to this book. I'd recommend Kenneth Poolman's book instead
