Marie Sansone

Marie Sansone grew up in Syracuse, New York. She has practiced environmental, natural resources, and land use law in Alaska, Colorado, and the District of Columbia, most recently serving as the director of the District's Environmental Health Administration and chief of staff for its HIV/AIDS Administration. She is an outdoor enthusiast who would almost always prefer rafting, hiking, bicycling, and camping to the way she ususally spends her time. The bicycling adventures in "Stories of the Road" are based in part upon long-distance rides that the author completed in 1976 and 1978, as well as years of telling stories around campfires.
