Sassen's first photo book in Japan. The thirty-one images, including the series chosen by Massimiliano Gioni to be part of The Encyclopedic Palace at the 55th Venice Biennale, emphasise themes recurrent in the photographer's work: death, mourning, the fear of being alone and the longing for an emotional connection.
