Ricky and Bindi are indigenous boys who have never been in trouble with the law, until now. Egged on by a new trouble-maker kid in town, they make some very bad choices and end up stealing and drinking alcohol. When their mother discovers what they have done, she drags them down to the police station to confess. The book opens with the two boys facing Koori Court. What will happen to them?
