Haiku Hike von Massachusetts St. Mary's Catholic School
This book followed some friends who went on a hike but forgot their camera. To remember their hike, they created multiple haiku's to capture the moments. This book would be amazing in a first or second-grade classroom. Their is a great description on what a haiku is and then many examples of a haiku throughout. This could pair well with a lesson on Haiku's and how to form one. Students could practice counting syllables within the poems of the book and forming their own haikus. A fun activity in the class might be to create a poetry journal to document their week in haiku.… (mehr)
