If you know Aunt Pearl, it's probably as the stand-no-nonsense, chicken-defending, dog-poisoning doyenne of Greater Tuna. But Pearl does have her more accessible side, and the easiest access is through her kitchen door. This collection, compiled from Pearl's own extensive experience as well as additions from other residents of Tuna (Vera Carp's pear pie is utterly characteristic of her). If for no other reason (and believe me, there ARE plenty of other GOOD reasons here), Aunt Pearl gets four stars for her Holiday Turkey.
