As one might expect this book emphasizes simple good manners, respect for and courtesy toward others. More specifically, there are useful tips, do's and don't's for email and especially social networking on a personal basis, for parents setting guidelines for their children and in the workplace. Brief descriptions of the most commonly used sites help one decide which venue to start with. There are some particularly useful suggestions of sites that are safe for children. While this type of information will become dated, Senning offers a thorough and easy-to-read starting point for appropriate online interactions. Note: I read this book as an ebook galley, which I suspect is the reason for my only criticism: Senning appeared to be using different fonts to set apart summary points - perhaps this could be better handled in digital format as bullet points.… (mehr)
