I'm not particularly fond of loose sketching, but it's an important skill in art, so I appreciate following all the exercises in this book. Exercises covered different subjects such as fruit, buildings, animals, and landscapes. They also range across different drawing mediums such as water soluble pens, pastel pencils, charcoal, and conte. They weren't the funnest drawings--I prefer more articulate styles--but I believe this book to be an excellent aid in learning to draw with more freedom.… (mehr)
