Baymond and Fawniteen grow up together playing in the magical hills and mountains of their home world. However, Fawn's family is royalty and she is expected to marry for political reasons and Baymond's father is the Master of The Secret Society of Light and Sound and he has a special mission to complete.

Unfortunately, Baymond and Fawn grow to fall in love with each other at a very young age, even pledging themselves to each other before finding out that Fawniteen was already betrothed to marry another at the age of 3 years old.

Across the backdrop of a galaxy wide war, Heidi Skarie paints a sweeping picture of a soul level love, the fight for freedom from the false god of war for the inner God of Spirit and the love of family above all.

I found the author's mixture of Science Fiction and Metaphysics to be a delightful combination. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series in order to get a bigger picture of the players in this Universe.… (mehr)
