After her illness there are chapters about how she learned to speak again. She even went to college with so much help from people. She did a lot of world wide traveling as well.

Summary: A biography telling the facts about Neil Armstrong and his Apollo 11 mission. Not only does it depict the facts of his time with NASA (NACA at the time) but also of his early years in getting his pilots license and joining the Air Force at 18. The end gives fun facts about Armstrong's life.

Personal Reflection: I enjoyed this book. I learned some interesting things regarding aspects about Armstrong that aren't typically presented, since walking on the moon was his claim to fame.

Classroom Extension:
1: Have the class as a group develop an anchor chart of the important factors of space missions such as Apollo 11.

2: "If I were an astronaut" writing activity explaining what the student would do both in a space shuttle and on the moons surface.… (mehr)
