What a lovely story of second chance romance. Ama Torres‘ mother has been married so many times that she ends up becoming a wedding planner. A celebrity ends up choosing Ama for her wedding but there is one condition, she uses Elliot Bloom as the florist. It seems his family is friends with the bride’s family. Little do they know that Ama and Elliot use to be together but now they barely speak to each other. They are basically enemies. Both Ama and Elliot know if they put aside their past and call a truce then they can do this and it will be huge for both of their busineses.

The story is wonderful and I laughed many times from all the antics and mishaps that occurred along the way.

This book is told through flashbacks and present day narrative. What I thought was unique about this is the present day is told from the female MC's perspective and the flashbacks are told from the male MC's perspective.

So, you know each character from the different points of time, then you get the other character's interpretation of what is happening in that time. For example, I caught myself thinking the female character almost seemed like a different person in the flashbacks, but I think that is a little bit intentional because you are only seeing her through his eyes in those scenes and how he is interpreting her actions and what she says.… (mehr)

Ama Torres is finally getting the chance to plan that big wedding that she knows will grow her business, but the couple insists upon using Elliot Bloom as their florist. Ama's relationship with Elliot ended badly and she can't imagine working with him again, but she decides to bow to the wishes of her clients. Elliot is just as rude and uncompromising as she remembers, but Ama can't deny his talent or the feelings that re-emerge as they develop this one-of-a-kind wedding.

Within the pages of Forget Me Not, we meet two characters with some unlikable qualities that somehow make them even more likable. The first half of the book alternates chapters told from the pov of each character, however, the chapters from Ama's perspective are in the present, while the chapters from Elliot's perspective are from the past and detail what happened to cause the couple to separate. The suspense builds as we learn more about what went wrong in their relationship and the depth of fear and longing that still persists between the two of them. The backdrop of the wedding they are planning adds some humor as we learn more about the talents of each protagonist, but after the reason for their separation is revealed, there is bit of a disconnect to the story. Overall though, Forget Me Not is an enjoyable read that is tough to put down.… (mehr)
