Lettice the Flying Rabbit is an cute story about a rabbit, who eventually is able to realize her dream of wanting to fly. Stanley does an excellent job in being able to take the reader on a journey of changing emotions that at first begins with an aspiration, then an attempt to try and meet that goal which at first fails and eventually is fulfilled.

This is a children's book that encourages activity and participation. It teaches about different animals and what "they do" and what sounds they make. This book does not contain any access features but has great illustrations, colors, and easy-to-read texts and content.

Great book for students to read and learn about animals and "what they do." Cute book that travels through each animal and asks what they do. For instance, the elephant squirts water. The pictures are cute and kid friendly with bright colors and bold writing.

Lettice, The Flying Rabbit wanted to fly just like the little bird she saw in the sky. She then saw a plane land near her and decided to see what it was about. Suddenly, it took off! She crashed into a tree and then fell into the arms of a little girl. The girl was flying the plane with a remote control. Lettice loved that she flew but was sad and wished to be home. So the little girl put her back into the plane and flew her home to her family. This is a great book about making your dreams comes true.

Summary
This book is about a wolf named Wilfred. Wilfred loved to eat very unhealthy foods and children though the unhealthy food made him so unhealthy he could not catch the children. He became so unhealthy his teeth began to rot. This is when he met the Brownbread family who felt sorry food him and took him in. They showed him the proper foods to eat, how to exercise, and proper dental care. He began to become more and more healthy and forgot all about eating children.
Personal Reaction
I really like this book. It shows children what will happen if you eat unhealthy foods and how beneficial health foods are.
Extension ideas
This book can help in the classroom by teaching children how important healthy eating really is and all it has to offer. It demonstrates what will happen if you do not eat health. This can help by changing eating habits for the better.

The story of Lettice started off as her being a normal rabbit who was tired of being a rabbit and wanted to dance. One day she had found a sign on a tree that had auditions for dancers, so Lettice went. When she arrived she saw many dancers dressed in costume, so she thought i need to go buy one. Unfortantley none of the normal people clothes didn't fit her, but thankfully she found a dolls clothes that fit just right. As she learned to dance she became very good at what she did. It was time for the dance recital and she couldn't wait. Her family was there to watch what she had learned while she has been in dance class. After the show Lettice felt great, just like a "star". When she arrived at home that same night her parents were very proud of her but weren't very proud of Lettice's attitude, she was a little stuck up. At the end of the story Lettice decided that being a Rabbit was the best thing for her and that she couldn't have been any happier.
This book is a great book for a various age of children. It's a very cute book and that teachers children to be happy with the person that they are.

Being a former ballerina myself, this book was one of my favorites. It was all about a tiny rabbit named Lettice and her dreams of becoming a ballerina. To her surprise, she conquered her dream and even performed in the recital with all the other students. Not only did she perform, but she was the star! Though her new found fame was fun, she soon realized that being a bunny was much more fun than being a ballerina. This is a cute story to show kids that no matter what dreams you master, you should never forget where your roots are.

This is another simple book that talks about different animals and what they are capable of doing. It can be used to discuss how every animal and person has different abilities that make them unique. It could introduce a topic such as talents as well.

This is a cute book for young children to read. This story is about a Lettice, young rabbit who sees a picture of a ballerina and dreams of being one one day. Lettice takes lessons and even stars in the end of the term dance recital. Her whole family comes to watch and she is nervous. Once the show is over she expects her family to wait for her but they don't. Her brothers don't think that she wants to attend a picnic because she is a star. Lettice soon realizes that being a star isn't as important of being who she really is. She takes her ballerina outfit off and joins her family for the family picnic. This is a great story about following dreams and realizing who you are.

Lettice dreams of becoming a ballerina. She leaves home and goes into town to go to dance class. Lettice becomes the star of the show, her family come out to watch and support her but leave without her. Lettice returns home and finds out being a rabbit is the best thing in the world, not being a ballerina. This is a great book to read to children about dancing. Also great to teach them that just because you may think something is better it might not always be.

Lettice: the Dancing Rabbit by Mandy Stanley is about a rabbit named Lettice who dreams of becoming a dancer. She sets out to accomplish her dream, and works hard to get what she wants. The progression of the story starts out well, but becomes confusing towards the end of the story. The chosen ending does not fit with the characters and makes no sense when placed after the rest of the story. The pictures work well with the story; helping to reinforce the text, establish the setting and provide some asides. Unfortunately, the bright, sparkle-covered book cover is misleading, and the pictures found inside the book are pale and unexciting.

This story is about a wolf with very unhealthy habits. In the beginning he eats all sorts of junk food. He really wants to eat children, but it way too slow to catch them because he is so unhealthy. He grew unhealthier as time went on, until he met the Brownbread family. They take the unhealthy wolf in and try to teach him better habits. In the end he becomes much healthier and eventually healthy enough to beat Octavia in a race and is very happy.

I enjoyed this story and think that it could be a great way to motivate children to have healthier habits. I read this to my young cousins and have been trying to work with them about being healthy. I always ask them would you rather be like the healthy fast wolf or slow like unhealthy wolf and it usually works to get them to make better choices.

I think that this could be used in the classroom to help children develop healthier habits. You could also make a fun day after learning about being healthy and have races and other activities like in the book.

My son has this book and he loves it. The book is very colorful and the illustrations are very cutely drawn. The bright colors draw in the attention of the readers. It is also very easy to learn from the way they have the pages laid out with the bugs and the information.
