This grew on me. I found it very stilted and awkward at the start. The relationship between Mike and Laura started very fast and rang kind of false but the characters grew on me and I found it easier once I overlooked the start of the relationship. It was just very instalove. Of course - they're also in love by the end but I found it easier to accept. The mystery was fairly straightforward, the backstory perhaps a little hard to follow without actually reading it - kind of felt like this was the second book in the series or something. I liked Dylan and the cat although beyond Laura and Mike none of the other characters were particularly fleshed out. Still, it was an easy read and relatively enjoyable.

Kellie is in Las Vegas for a romance reader/author convention. She has an accident when Quinn flies off his bike landing somewhat under her car. When he ascertains he is not dead nor seriously injured and Kellie realizes he is her Zeus (from her book) they knock heads but somehow Kellie ends up with a fake boyfriend for the weekend and Quinn gets to spend more time with her. Will they just walk away from their weekend or will this be a beginning for them?

This was one of the funniest romances I have read. I laughed a lot. Kellie and Quinn were a scream. I liked their chemistry. They were made for each other. My favorite scene was when the two Darryls came for Betty after the accident. My second favorite scene was lunch at Quinn's parents. Kellie laid into his mother. It was great! I also enjoyed the phone call before.

This is the PERFECT read for summer--fun, fun fun!

This story had a lot to offer and started out with so much promise BUT for me the fluctuating tempo took something away from the momentum. That made me sad because I really enjoyed the characters. Kelli is a dreamer that wants to make a difference and longs to be a writer. Quinn has dreams of his own. He wants to make his family proud and do more with his life than muddle through. Like everyone they had their flaws but what I was charmed by was their hearts were what lead them to dream of a chance at a better life. Even though there were some issues with the story for me it proved to be an eye opener. Ms. Stanley created a proud achievement. Accidentally in Love with the Biker may not have been perfect but it was close to it. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

There is so much that I can say about Drunk on You. Emotional, breathtaking, romantic just to name a few. The most descriptive would be great. Teri Anne Stanley's story of love, heartbreak and bourbon is at times painful but is also a story of healing and second chances. Justin wants to wallow in his own misery but Allie is determined to pull him out of the darkness. I receive an ARC of Drunk On You in exchange for an honest review. YES, this is a beautiful story!

What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas. Not in the real world anyway. A little relaxation in Sin City becomes a wild ride for two strangers. For a loner with the best of intentions and a wild child with escape on her mind, a few too many glasses of liquid courage has them putting a ring on it. The problem is neither can remember where, when or why. Except when it starts to become all too clear. Not only have they lost their minds but if they don't step carefully they just might lose their hearts. Teri Stanley always makes my heart a little lighter with her humorous tales of over the top romance. Accidentally in Love With a Pilot is wicked entertainment. Fun romance.

Eve and Nick may not be perfect, but they are perfect for each other. She needs someone to believe in her and encourage her to believe in herself. He needs to forgive himself for past mistakes and work his way through his truckload of heartaches. Ms. Stanley is a miracle worker. Nick and Eve are frustrating, heartbreaking and captivating. Perfection is a state of mind that may begin with the best of intentions, yet turn out anything but. With a Taste of You, Terri Anne Stanley shows readers there is beauty in being flawed. There's no more powerful message than that.

Who's playing who? Ms. Stanley is an author after my own heart. A winning story, a spicy heroine, what's not to like? Lesa may be down but she's not out. She's not above a little seductive manipulation to get her point across. Brandon skills are more boardroom than bedroom, but for Lesa he just might make an exception. The biggest strength of A Shot With You, Ms. Stanley and her characters drew me in too.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Kelli is traveling to Las Vegas in a last ditch effort to pursue her romance book writing career and to take a walk on the wild side for once. When she gets rear ended by a hot biker she asks him if he would be her pretend boyfriend for the night. Quinn doesn't know much about books in the romance genre but he knows he would like to discover more about it with the hot-to-trot Kelli. Facing off against frenemies, wine guzzling romance fanatics, and a judge-y mother, Kelli and Quinn will find out if what stays in Vegas can last in Vegas.

A quick fast read, Accidentally in Love with the Biker delivers what it promises with it’s cute title and flirty cover. It's mostly adorable with some good humor, (I love when romance writers can good naturally poke fun at themselves and the genre) steamy sex scenes, and a few times of delving into bigger issues. Kelli was a fun character to follow along with; her attitude and actions were amusing. Quinn was an antithesis to the abundant dark, broody, and growly alphas permeating the romance hero ranks lately. He was easy going and willing to go with the flow, he found himself in a dating game show and played along wonderfully in one of the book's most funny scenes. Together, they were just plain fun to read about. Their conversations and by-play kept the pace going and a grin appearing regularly on my face.

The secondary characters were a little more cliché with Kelli’s over-the-top frenemie. The way Kelli put up with the friend's rudeness and taking advantage of her made Kelli seem like a big push over. The slight drama between the friend and her fiancé was also unnecessary; it was manufactured drama that fell pretty flat at the end. Quinn's family drama would have added a great layer to his character if the story would have been longer and all the characters could have been flushed out more. His father, brother, and sister were barely pencil sketches and his mother's somewhat 180 at the end came off a little too pat.

I would have graded this closer to four stars but the last thirty percent or so felt rushed, even as it started to feel drawn out. Kelli and Quinn have some great sex scenes but Kelli is still mentally trying to push Quinn away as she thinks there is no hope for them when she goes back home to Georgia. This mental block she had kept popping up and feeling like forced angst to keep the mystery if they were going to have a happy ever after. All the other issues like Kelli's bad friend, Quinn's issue with thinking Kelli wants him to be more than a "biker" (which by the way, he's not a MC biker but designs motorcycles), and even their happily ever after to some extent, was pretty rushed with everything suddenly working perfect in the end.

All in all, though, this book serves its purpose. It was light, funny, and entertained me for a few hours. There are some great scenes at the romance book/writers convention, there’s an appearance of two bisexual wereparrots, that are guaranteed to make you laugh. If looking for a quick, light hearted, funny, and steamy read, this would be a great choice.

"3 out of 5 stars. While inspiring romance author, Kellie, attends a convention in Las Vegas, she meets hot "bad boy" biker Quinn. During their whirlwind time together they both learn the true meaning of love at first sight, but is it enough to keep their "relationship" going once the convention is over?

Okay. I really struggled with this novel. Not because..."

Such a fun read!

Eve and Nick make one heck of a couple, and an even better team as they worked together to get Eve's family's tasting center up and ready to go for her mother's big charity event. And okay, there were some pretty serious issues being dealt with here too--alcoholism, both from the personal POV and that of their family's, guilt and abandonment--but even though their treatment was well done and realistic, they didn't bog the story down. Throughout it all, Ms. Stanley's writing had me giggling out loud--a lot--and even tearing up at the end. Because, dang. Good ending.

A Taste of You is the third book in the series, but should work fine as a standalone; even though the MCs from books one and two ( Drunk on You and A Shot with You ) make frequent appearances, you don't have to have read their books to enjoy them here. But given what happens at the end, you're probably going to want to.

Just sayin'.

Also just sayin'--an office supplies addiction is only a problem if you let it be one. There's nothing wrong with a healthy appreciation for post-it notes, composition books, and exactly the right size tabs for every project. Nothing. At. All. Plus, everybody counts down the days until the back to school sales start at office supply stores, don't they? I know Eve has my back here... ;)

Rating: 4 stars / A-

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Lesa and Brandon are a cute couple but not on the same page when it comes to relationships. Although attracted to each other Brandon will not commit because of past mistakes and Lesa will not commit because wants to travel and have no responsibilities. Their families own a bourbon distillery and a tequila distillery respectively. That gets in the way.

I liked Lesa and Brandon but the story was predictable. I liked Grandpa. He was a hoot and made the story especially as he gives relationship advice. The secondary characters did help the story a lot.

I had so much fun reading Drunk on You. It's a perfect read to wrap up the summer with a drink in your hand.

Allie and Justin are hilarious together. It's hard trying to confine in your feelings when you've been in love with your brother's best friend for years. And Allie finds her old crush coming back to life when Justin comes home from being in the military. Justin is surly, and definitely confused. He's attracted to Allie, but terrified it will resurrect his best friend's ghost if he makes a move on it. Somewhere along the line he gets his head out of his ass.

The adventure these two go on is fun. Being cramped up in a camper to a liquor festival is bound to have it's moments. And boy, do they have them. Between all the innuendo, crazy lies they try to tell themselves, and sexual tension it makes for an interesting journey. I absolutely loved the banter between Justin and Allie. They give as good as they get, and there are times when they shock the other.

I love, love, love these characters, and the storyline. So much greatness, and just no words. Definitely pick this one up if you're looking for a book full of fun characters and hilarious moments. Seriously, there's this one scene where I literally laughed out loud at Allie's panicky moment.

I picked up this book because I was in a southern mood, and it's been a while since I read a story featuring the Kentucky Bourbon industry. Being a Tennessee girl with family in Kentucky, I thought I would connect with this story. And I did for the most part. This is a short steamy romance that paced well and had me rooting for the characters.

Allie McGrath has been in love with her brother's best friend since she was a kid. The pair (Justin and Dave) go off to serve and protect in Afghanistan, and only Justin comes back. He has promised to look out for Allie, but didn't realize she had grown up into a sexy and spunky woman. Sparks fly between these two, but Allie is trying to protect her heart due to a prior embarrassing situation involving Justin. And Justin tries to keep his hands off Allie because he doesn't think Dave would have approved. When the two are thrown together driving across the South in an RV, the close quarters driving them together in more ways than one.

I really liked Allie. I can only imagine how her young heart was bruised in the earlier situation with Justin (trying to avoid spoilers). I also liked Justin, our war torn hero coming back with survivor's guilt and trying to do what his best friend wanted. So I rooted for this pair throughout the story and was happy with the resolution.

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. 3.5 stars / 3 flames.

This is another fun, quick read in the What Happens in Vegas series. The characters are very likable and well written. Kelli and Quinn's connection is unmistakable and sweet. The story is paced well and enjoyably funny. This was my first time reading one of Ms. Stanley's stories.

ARC received from Entangled Publishing in exchange for an honest review.

I found this to be a very entertaining read! It's very well written but could use a little closer editing, although it's nothing that takes away from the overall story. Greg is home from Afghanistan filled with guilt and trying to drown those memories with bourbon. Allie has been in love with Greg forever but he has always looked at her as his best friend's little sister. After a fire at their families distillery, the are thrown together to come up with a way to repair things before their parents return. As their adventure continues, the chemistry between them begins to burn bright!

This was a fun read and I would recommend it.

This is a fun light hearted story with great humor, romance, and mystery. Down on his luck, shamed detective Mike Gibson is working hard to restore his name and honor by tracking the deadly strain of drugs that have hit the streets. When it is traced back to the nerdy yet sexy scientist Mike has been trying not to lust after things get interesting fast!

I really enjoyed this book. Well written, funny, and a story that moves along at a good pace all work together to make this a very enjoyable read. Highly recommend it.

Drunk On You by Teri Anne Stanley is highly entertaining. Set in the south amid the bourbon distillery world, Drunk On You follows the relationship between Allie McGrath and Justin Morgan. Determined to save the family distillery Allie and Justin go on a road trip together to pitch Allie’s new idea. Easy enough, except Allie and Justin share a history together which complicates everything. Allie has always loved Justin, and Justin is fighting his attraction because of a promise he made to her brother, his best friend.

The chemistry between Allie and Justin is pretty solid. I wouldn’t say it was overly steamy, but it was just enough to keep the heat going through out the book. This is definitely more of a heart-warming romance that will give you some major FEELS. I’m talking an emotional roller coaster ride of FEELS!

Allie is a fairly quirky character, and I completely adored her. She’s creative, ambitious, strong, and vulnerable at times. Her determination and conviction also makes her admirable. Justin’s equally as tenacious which makes for some fun and witty dialogue between the couple.

“You’re going to have to get your social butterfly personality back and dust it off,” she told him. “We’re going on a road trip.”
“Ah hell,” he said, finally sitting down.

There are so many quotes I got a kick out of, but I don’t want to give too much away. I really enjoyed this read, it really got my feelings going all over the place. Stanley’s Drunk on You is more than just a love story, it’s about friendship and loss and the painstaking journey to recovery. If, like me, you love heart-felt romances then you need to go grab a copy of this book and read it!

Every scientist knows that opposites attract – but Laura Kane also knows what happens when that attraction leads you to letting a man take over your life. After watching her mother give up her career as a scientist after getting married, Laura knows that there is no room in her life for any man…that is until she literally falls in the arms of “The Hottest Maintenance Man In History” – Mike Gibson.

Mike Gibson is trying to pick up the pieces of his life, trying to get his younger brother on the straight and narrow, and trying to clear his name. After being suspended from the police force, Mike takes a job as a maintenance man at the local college – and little does he know that the demons from his past are about to slam right into his present…and have him falling for the sexy scientist who he helps when she has the drug she is developing stolen out of her laboratory.

It was fun but also heartbreaking at times to watch Laura and Mike navigate through their relationship. They both had such issues to work through. Laura knows what her mother gave up in order to have a man in her life, and is so afraid of losing herself to a man that she never lets herself get close to anyone. Even after she begins to realize that a relationship is possible, she still has a hard time thinking that she, the scientist, could capture the attention of a man like Mike.

"Aaaaand there she went. Just because she’d realized she could probably still manage a career and a love life didn't mean she could manage a love life with a guy like Mike Gibson. Or that, late-night condom runs aside, it was unlikely a guy like Mike Gibson would want that with her. He would want the big city and big adventures, bad-guy-chasing adrenaline highs and stiletto-wearing sex goddesses. Not bookish, cat-loving, sneaker-wearing homebodies like Lauren. Though she might like to try out the sex goddess thing for a while."

Mike was such a great guy but had taken the weight of the world, or at least the world of his family, on his shoulders. And he couldn't forgive himself for the times that he feels he let his family down…especially since he’d been trying to take care of and protect his brothers since they were kids. Now that Laura is in danger, he has a hard time realizing that pushing her away isn't going to keep her safe.

I really enjoyed this story and loved the fact that the female was the nerdy scientist. This seems like a great start to a fun series and I look forward to more….perhaps Evan’s story?!!!

I received a copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review.
