History of the Navy Nurse Corps. Although this is the standard and to date only history of the NNC and conatins wonderful, invaluable and detailed information, it is difficult to use because of the way it is organized. Each chapter covers the tenure of a Director rather than an era. Because there is no index, it can be difficult to find the information one is seeking.
