Although well-written, “Helen” proves to be a fairly routine tale of training a basically submissive wife to accept severe chastisement at the hands of her husband and his friends. Helen has had affairs, and when her husband discovers this fact he enlists a male friend to help him punish her and make her truly submissive, willing to engage in all forms of erotic activity and chastisement. The two men bring in other experts to help them in their goal. It's a fairly simple plot, with little in the way of surprises, and the word “routine” seems to fit it within the erotic chastisement genre.… (mehr)
