There were aspects of it I liked, and aspects I didn't like, hence the 3 star, in-the-middle rating.

Being able to show a couple of thousands years of history in just a few pages is quite clever. I liked that. What I didn't like was the premisse of the story, which, granted, isn't exclusive to this story. I'm not to keen on this sort of scifi; where man has destroyed earth, seeks out a solution (in this case relocation), only to find Earth magically healed itself...

However hopeful, dear authors, this is not a good message to send out! It's important to take action NOW and protect Earth and it's resoures, not to hope it'll all work out for future generations....

Note: I know it's highly unlikely the author of this particular story will ever read my note, since the stoy was first published in 1954)… (mehr)
