One of the best parts is a back-cover facsimile of a manually-typed draft of the page that became the text of this illustrated poem. My favorite is page 15, "we bring ourselves to the river," a writer dancing over to her desk underwater, and working underwater--as it often feels--and a woman in a Star Trek uniform with a house over her head. Great B&W lines in pen and ink with expressive wash. The drawings facilitate the text.
