Sadly this book is hardly a bible. While it's nice to look at with glossy pages and bold ink, there are no descriptions or information on the fonts presented. Styles inside include everything from free-hand lettering to Kanji, but this book would most likely only be used as a guide for someone looking at fonts for the first time. I just don't see it being useful in an actual tattoo parlor.

A nice little book of different lettering styles, and methods. Beautifully illustrated. I'm happy to report my copy is now on a bookshelf of a tattoo shop in Fort Collins, Colorado.

its full of pretty looking tattoo art, but most of the letters in the book are in a random order and have no names or anything to helpful. its more a coffee table book than bible or any means. kinda like going to a cheep tattoo artist and showing him what you want like a kid with a coloring book. its pretty but not helpful. i have asked 4 of the best tattoo artist in Springfield to look at the book and asked them if they would have it in their shop, and they all said no. i ended up giving my copy to a friend who is wanting to be a tattoo artist. maybe he will get some use from it

I wouldn't quite call it a "bible", but it did have a fair amount of tattoo lettering styles. I could easily see this being a staple at a tattoo studio; the fonts are large and easy to see and the pages are think enough to stand up to repeated handlings.

Tattoo Lettering Bible by Superior Tattoo falls short on the title of 'Bible' in my opinion. At 128 pages and no actual "reading" material it's a bit thin to claim such an authoritative description.

Over exaggerated marketing titles aside, it's a neat book with plenty of type to satisfy a casual audience. It's laid out well and visually attractive. The type or fonts in this book represent a wide variety of calligraphy, serif, sans serif, decorative and more. It also includes some scrolls and other small artwork that could be useful. Some of the types are clearly 'hand drawn' (a positive) and others are cleanly digitized. All in all, there's plenty of variety and quality to keep your interest.

A tattooist probably isn't going to find revelation in this bible but as viewing material for clients it should serve quite well. The pages are heavy semi gloss and should stand up to considerable page flipping. The binding doesn't produce as much confidence from me, played with it a bit and I can see this coming apart after some light duty. That could use improvement.

I've always loved looking at and practicing different typography and this book didn't disappoint me there. If I had a shop or practiced tattooing, I'd grab it and set it up front as easy browsing material.

I received this book from LT Early Reviewers. It is a nice full color book with many different fonts (complete alphabets), a few examples of the more common tattoo phrases, and even some chinese thrown in there. An interesting book for anyone that likes fonts, and especially if they're going to be permanent and possibly on view.

I didn't know there were so many different lettering styles, and this book helped me pick one for my first tattoo.

So, I found that there were a lot of original letters going on. I found most of them pretty cool and I want at least one of the designs to be on my back next time I decide to get writing on my skin. Good job.
