Four authors promoting their novels with short stories. There was only one story I actually liked.
For romance authors short form can be a real challenge. Acquainting the reader to the characters and creating a believable romance in a very limited amount of pages isn't in everyone's skill set. Both Caroline Linden and Katharine Ashe failed the test while Miranda Neville succeeded. Maya Rodale, I'm sad to say, hit the rock bottom with her instalment: it's not even a short story, it's bits and pieces from the novel she promotes.
This anthology came out in 2012 (I think) and since then these four authors have published another one called At the Duke's Wedding. I'll read that one too at some point.… (mehr)

Four short, fun stories from a quartet of very talented writers. Certainly worth your 99 cents on Kindle!
