I read this book via an Amazon KINDLE Unlimited download.
It’s safe to say there are scores of books written for/about women who are entering or are ready in their midlife years. While these books deal with the emotional, medical, and psychological aspects of what is intrinsically called a woman’s midlife crisis, there are few books far and between which deal with a Christian woman’s spiritual needs.

The biggest questions a Christian woman has in these notorious middle years are as stated by the author, Leigh Ann Thomas, in her description for the book are:

Who is that woman in the mirror?
What is my purpose?
Where do I fit in?
And most importantly, what now, Lord?

While this book is not being touted as being a devotional book, the manner in which Ms. Thomas as written is. In each of her 32 chapter, the author starts off by giving her readers scriptures, specifically geared to go along with her own personal experience that follows. Ms. Thomas then offers her readers a personal prayer which compliments what they’ve just read, culminating by giving her sister midlife sisters a meditation to reflect on and a question to ask themselves to further enhance their reading experience.

This is a book which can’t be rushed through and readers should limit themselves in reading one chapter a day, just as they would reading any devotional book. For wanting to give her readers, with the Lord’s guidance, an edge in dealing in this portion of their life journey which He has planned for them. Being the reviewer of Christian books that I’ve become, I more than happy to give Ms. Thomas, the 5 STARS she’s gotten from me.
