Kurzbiographie
Cynthia Tottleben has long been good friends with the macabre. She likes to wallow in the dark, to delve deep into the recesses of the cold and terror that plague us all. Here she meets the characters that take residence in her soul and don’t stop kicking until their stories are out, no matter how uncomfortable they make people.
Cynthia is a workaholic who manages a retail store and is known as The Crazy Recycler for all the garbage she rescues from clogging the landfill. She is governed by a small clowder of cats that rule the home she shares with her husband and beagle in rural Illinois.
Cynthia is the author of The Eye Unseen, the ebook The Neverlight and the novella The Final Chamber.

An excellent book, gripping and intense. Is this a story of domestic abuse or a supernatural thriller? Four unreliable narrators (including a dog!) leave the reader drawing their own conclusions in this well-written and enthralling book. Would love to see more from this writer, and especially a sequel!

If V. C. Andrews wrote supernatural horror, this would be it. Some parts might be a little hard to stomach, but that adds to the horror

I received this book from Library Thing Early Reviewers. The Eye Unseen is a horrifying, heartbreaking read about a girl named Lucy. She has to endure terrible abuse from her mother, Joan. Lucy then begins to hallucinate. She sees a man that she thinks is her "savior" Is this man her savior, or something evil. Nobody utters the strangers name, it is obscene.

This book was scary! I felt like I was Lucy and went through the things she did. This book is extreme horror and is not for the faint of heart.… (mehr)

This book is very disturbing, sometimes in a good way, but more often in a bad one. Technically it is very well written and held my attention throughout, even when repulsing me with it's themes, however, it's hard to recommend this book due to the nature of the subject matter (abuse). I would recommend this to those who have a high tolerance for sensitive subject matter and have not experience abuse in their past.
