It took me a while to get into Beauties, but I was glad once I did. Beauties is the character-driven story of two cousins, opposites in almost every way, who are thrown together in a business venture when the disabled Bev, who recently came into some money through a lawsuit and opened a cafe, agrees to take in her beautiful, recently divorced, cousin Shelly, who loves to cook.
