Author Paul Rodney Turner the "food yogi" takes you on a journey of rediscovering food and its importance in our spiritual evolution.

FOOD YOGA not only offers practical guidance on how to live a healthy and happy life by reconnecting with nature, but also introduces the reader to the power of food as a uniter and a medium for expressing our love for the divine.

Food yoga springs from the belief that the kind of food we eat affects our consciousness and subsequent behaviours.

All the world's great spiritual traditions have elaborate food offering rituals carefully designed to expand consciousness and all use food as a means to represent or please the Divine and to expand the consciousness of their followers.

Food yoga is, in essence, a discipline that honours all spiritual paths by embracing their core teaching - that food in its most pure form is divine and therefore an excellent medium for spiritual purification.

About the author:
Paul Rodney Turner, the "Food Yogi" is the international director of Food for Life and the founder of Food for Life Global, the world headquarters for the charity. Food for Life is the largest plant-based food relief in the world with projects in over 60 countries that serves up to 3 million meals daily.

Over the next 25 years, Paul traveled to 54 countries throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas, helping to inspire and set up new Food for Life projects and train volunteers. He also raised millions of dollars in funds; gave hundreds of public lectures; appeared on television and radio, and met with numerous government officials. In 1994, Paul wrote the official Food for Life training manual and in 1996 he wrote, sung and produced the first official FFL music CD called Prasada Sevaya (Service to holy food).

Paul merits the teaching of the Bhagavad-Gita as the foundation of his venture into exploring raw food nutrition. However, it was the example of the "Godfather of Raw Gourmet," Aris Lathan, who got him really inspired.
