A fun read that I found hard to put down. The story was well written and the characters were compelling. I'll be looking for later books in the series.
~ 3.5 Fall Into Darkness Stars ~
Fall Into Darkness is book one in the Eternally Mated series by Valerie Twombly. This is a satisfactory start to the series. We get surprises, action, sultry romance, and a new spin on Angel’s.
Ashley is a unique women. I felt for her and her unique ability. She has always felt out of touch with those around her and is hinder by her curse (as she feels it is) in making real connections with people. Her ability has left her seeking solitude, but deep down she wants to know why she has this ability and who she truly is.
Eli is a Hunter Angel and does not care much for humanity. He is so bad! A rebel, stubborn, and alpha. All the things we love our male leads to be. His disobedience gets him into trouble. He finds himself striped of his wings and needing to find his humanity. All of this is perfectly timed for him to meet Ashley when she needs him the most.
The plot is intriguing and laid out nicely with many surprises and gripping things happening that I was kept on my toes wondering what is next. The world building was not big, with the main focus given to describing and introducing us to the Angel’s. The author did such a fantastic job on her Angels in portraying all the different kinds, what is happening to them, and how their society is structured. It was all so unique, different, and new to me. The relationship between Ashley and Eli is sensual from the get go and only gets hotter as you go along. I never bought into the love, maybe because the relationship felt rushed, but you do feel their lust and attraction for each other, which is astronomical.
Fall Into Darkness has a lot to enjoy in this new world created by Ms. Twombly. It’s a fast-paced, exciting and engaging read. The story will continue into book two and I’m curious to see where the author will take us.

~ 4.5 Primal Stars ~
Primal Hunger is book three in the Guardians series by Valerie Twombly. We start right where we left off in [b:Fatal Desire|21453217|Fatal Desire (Guardians #2)|Valerie Twombly|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1394667163s/21453217.jpg|40761967] and Ms. Twombly does not give us a moment to catch our breath. We are pulled right back into the world and war going on.
Seth, a Guardian. WOW, we learn about his creation and his powers. Kaitlyn aka Katie is more then human. Dame these two worked well together. Even though Seth is fighting the mating, (Seth this is futile), he still wants to protect his Katie from himself. It was great to finally get into his head and see the turmoil and struggles he deals with. Katie, is one feisty heroine. I love a feisty women and one who can give as good as she gets. She gives Baal a run for his money. Oh course she learns a whole lot of information in a very short time and deals with it quite well. We also get to see past characters and ones to come. Plus our plot is getting deeper and things are not looking so good for the Guardians or the human realm. The Gods are staying out of it and we learn some interesting information about them. Then the epilogue, WOW, leaves you wanting more..
If you love a verity or paranormal creatures then you will enjoy the Guardians series. Primal Hunger was a great read in this series and I am looking forward to more.

It was okay. Moved slowly.
Feel the need to let you know it is a sad ending. You don't really feel much connection to either of the characters and this keeps the ending from affecting you as much as it should.
The story in whole is a bit one dimensional.… (mehr)
