One night Pepper and her friend Kat ( who is also a witch) hear a noise in the basement. Upon arrival they come across a female ghost. The ghost is that of one of town's founders, Amelia Haven. Amelia said that after Alan McDaniel had visited her about giving his family a Christmas to remember. The only problem is that Alan's wife Ruby is sickened with grief from his passing. Pepper and Kat enlist their friend and Ruby's son Will, as well as the town to help Ruby continue on with Christmas traditions and the possibility of making new ones.… (mehr)

Another fun mystery by Morgan Vale!

If you haven't read the previous two books, you'll want to read them first. While this book reminds you of the events in those books it might ruin the twists if read first.

Each mystery does a great job of building the elements to the case PLUS utilizing a different aspect of the magical world to give us more insight into the world without it feeling like info dumping. This installment is no different, Kat gives us more insight and learns a few new things as well.

Loved the dialogue, Albus & Kat's grandmother are still my favorites.

We get a little more info on the bigger story arc, and more developing between Chance's family and Kat. Looking forward to seeing where their storyline goes. Love the slow burn of it. Feels relatable, and fun.

You'll love this book if you love witchy cozy mysteries, with sassy familiars.… (mehr)

Trouble follows Kat around Haven whether she wants to get involved or not.

This installment finds her tangled up in assisting the police in an investigation. With her familiar close at her heel they jump head first into the mess and untangle it the best they know how.

It was great to see Kat use magic that she normally wouldn't, and come to terms with a few personal growth items.

This book answered a lot of my werewolf questions, but opened up a few more questions that I can't wait to read about in the next book.

This series is light hearted, easy to read in a single sitting, and always makes me laugh.… (mehr)
