1st time I've read an 'MPREG' book.
Interesting, but not for me.
Well, this author is not for me.

They write the same scene with the different POV's of the MC's.
While I love having multiple POV's, I hate reading the same scene. I understand the style, I just don't like it.
Some of the writing is a bit erratic and to much time/words used for inconsequential information.

That said, it wasn't a bad story. I think the series has possibilities.
However, it is not for me.

I wish I had gotten more out of this one but unfortunately, I just did not like this. The story was unnecessarily confusing. At times, I really just did not understand why certain things were happening or how the world works.

This was a very short book and there was almost zero world building. It left me feeling very confused and distant from the story. The time that wasn't spent on world building was also not spent on character development. Throughout the whole story, I did not care what happened to these characters. Their relationships were really confusing to me and I didn't understand the dynamics. I was left feeling very unsatisfied with how the story wrapped up. I also found the ending to be very confusing. Maybe I just missed something but I didn't understand why characters acted the way they did.

I'm giving this a strong 3.5. It has a good premise and is reasonably well-written, but I think that there were a couple of places where it could've gone smoother, but overall, not bad.

Reese ended up pregnant by the wrong man. At the end of his pregnancy, when he's been hiding in his ex's apartment while the ex has been gone, the ex shows up and beats up another Omega. When he finds out that Reese is there and pregnant when his child, Reese has to run. While he's escaping, he goes into labor. When a nice older man decides to help him and take him to the hospital, they get in a car crash, so Sammy, Reese's baby comes into the world via c-section to a daddy who is in a coma.

Connor is the baby doc who delivered Sammy, and now he's madly in love with that tiny baby. He goes often to check on him. When he first sees Reese, he's madly attracted to him, but Connor has always been married to his job and never anything else. The question is going to be, can he stay that way or are the team of Sammy and Reese just too much to resist?

I think that Reese and Connor together are sweet. The story of their journey to become a family come hell or high water is great, and I loved seeing them both fall in love with that little boy and with each other.

I'm giving this a 3.75.

This was a little darker than some of the other Preston Walker books I've read, but I liked it. In most MM Omegaverse books, the Omegas are cherished and protected. In this one, Omegas are tossed into a pit to fight or die. This is some barbaric practice to make sure that they are passing on the best genes. Logan's family has always been ashamed of the fact that he's an Omega, so they beat him, tie him up, and toss him in the ring. Deacon is there, sees Logan and has to save him.

Ok, Deacon is an alpha-hole at times. He tries to be better, but then, he just becomes a massive alpha-hole. It's like he can't even hear himself or how he sounds. Good for Howie and smacking him around. I don't blame Logan for being mad at all.

Quick read

This is a 3.5 from me. It's a quick read, with a hero doc who needs to save his mate. I really liked Niko.

1, 2 & 3 were good but 4 I cried through most of it.

#4 was too emotional & chaotic for me. If I'd know I would have saved it for different day when I might have dealt with it better.
It's still HEA but getting there wiped me out.

1, 2, & 3 were the fun, enjoyable reads I'd been expecting.
