I read this book via an Amazon-US KINDLE Unlimited download.

After reading several adult books from a variety of genres I felt my inner child wanting to read something for a change. To satisfy its need I searched Amazon for an KU book suitable for a child between the ages of 6 – 10 [that’s how old my inner child is feeling today] and I found this book whose subject matter sound quite appealing.

This book happens to be a conglomeration of the first four books in “The 49 Series” series of book written by the author, James Warwood.

Each of these books brought me back to the days when I and my sibling had been children, and we used to make up the same excuses not to do something, sneaky ways of getting something done, and of course the stupid, annoying questions we used to ask our parents.

The four books contained here are:

Book #1: 49 Excuses for Not Tidying Your Bedroom
Book #2: 49 Ways to Steal the Cookie Jar
Book #3: 49 Excuses for Not Doing Your Homework
Book #4: 49 Questions to Annoy Your Parents

I can’t begin to tell you how many of the suggestions contained in each we did ourselves; and had we know about these additional, quite imaginative ideas we might have done them as well. While this children’s book is fraught with nostalgia of the days we were children, I would keep it out of their hands simply because it would them an entire library excuses to tell us, or ideas to get they want accomplished done. [Does anyone have any homemade chocolate chip cookies - - - I can’t find the cookie jar.]

For having given his readers a nostalgic, humorous book; how can I not give Mr. Warwood for his endeavor here.… (mehr)
