E.B. Wedmore

Whilst some parts are showing their age (chemicals used, and being way out of date on food hygiene regulations - eg rusty storage cans are fine if coated with wax!), there is a lot of useful information in here that has stood the test of time.
Probably not for the absolute beginner, as he often goes through things at quite a pace.

On the first page it says: "The Reader should be aware that Wedmore was originally published in 1932 and was revised in 1946." So although this edition was revised again in 1975 the wording is a bit old-fashioned. It really is a manual and without the later revisions would probably be dangerous, but with them is full of detailed information. As a beginner I have browsed it but I need something different to keep on hand - so back to the DBKA library with this one.
