Dundrifter by Elisabeth Wheatley picks up where Ensaadi, Book I of the Warlords of the Sandsea series left off, and I couldn’t wait to start.

Forbidden love.

Duty.

Loyalty.

Will Talitha sacrifice herself for her people? Her city?

Her best friend is taken and there is only one person who can help her. The big question is, will he…and can they resist their forbidden love? The heart wants what the heart wants and I want them to be together.

Betrayal. Elisabeth Wheatley caught me offguard with the ultimate betrayal heaped on Talitha, leaving her feeling lost, bereft and alone.

Oh man. I love a book that gets my emotions roiling.

Plenty of pulse pounding action and sexual tension in this sword and sorcery romance.

Wicked good ending leaving me frustrated waiting to get my hands on Book III, Batttleslave.

I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Dunedrifter by Elisabeth Wheatley.

Elisabeth Wheatley never ceases to amaze me with her creative storytelling. I loved her Fanged series, and am eager to see what Ensaadi has to offer. A dash of Dunes, a pinch of Stars Wars…Voila, we have the Warlords of Sandsea romance adventure series.

Esreth is, well, a bit promiscuous. This time she has crossed a line and Talitha has to find a solution to the problem. Whoa…

Right or wrong, the decision is made and the action begins.

Talitha is ensaadi, their leader, and now she will show them why she deserves the title. She is strong, smart and knows to keep her eyes on her enemies, even when they are standing right beside her.

I was wondering what would happen next, but this wasn’t what I saw coming.

The chase, the fight, brutal and wicked. Love and war. The critters and world building. The more I read, the more I like.

The Dunedrifters…I knew, well, I thought, well, I…

Romance is in the air and ya can’t stop the heart from wanting who it wants.

An uneasy alliance, a warrior born to rule.

I love this suspenseful novella that has characters to die for and a world that stretches the imagination. I can hardly wait to get my hands on the next story, Dunedrifter.

I have been reading this fangtastic series from the beginning, so to read Human by Elisabeth Wheatley and learn Fletchers’s story is a real treat. It is not a happy story, in fact, it’s down right heartbreaking.

Fletcher met Haddasah by happenstance and she has become a reluctant friend. As their friendship grows into something more, they try to deny their love for each other. Hadassah explains why it can never be. A Romeo and Juliet affair? More like Isabella and Edward.

The dialogue between them is snarky and fun.

Oh man, now I really understand why they are on the run and Haddie…

The ending was brutal, savage, fanglorious and I was surprised and agree with Elisabeth that Fletcher’s story needed to be told. It explains Haddie’s actions and the ending made me bump Human’s rating to a four.
