Amber Winters

The Tattoo Coloring Book contains 38 different tattoo-inspired designs by a talented artist, Amber Winters. The last 2 designs are the same, but it's a Hawaiian turtle (honu) and plumeria flowers. I can imagine coloring one in earth tones and the other in a more vibrant sea palette.
Most designs are themes that have traditionally been used for tattoos, like snakes and swords and mermaids and ships. However each design includes so much rich detail that designers and color artists will enjoy the challenge of bringing each scene to life. Here are just a few of my favorites: a mermaid swirled around shells and coral and other sea life; a detailed sugar skull with roses; a traditional, but very detailed Chinese dragon surrounded by flames; a raven sitting on a skull; a great sword guarded by a scorpion and thorny roses; and my favorite is a frog smoking a pipe and sitting on a toadstool. Lacey is in a very abusive relationship that she was hiding from everyone until her mother found out. She wants to leave Wyatt but she is afraid of what he will do to her if she tries to. Lacey has finally made up mind to leave him but they are on the way to her family secluded cabin in the mountains and a snow storms is approaching. Once at the cabin she is trying to figure out how to get away when her brother's friends from the Marines bust through the door to her rescue. Lacey was surprised and happy to see the men of dreams. But things take a turn that nobody was expecting.

Adam, Daniel, Mark, and Oliver find out that their brother's sister is being abused by her boyfriend so the ride to the rescue. Little do they know that they are actually about to save her life. On the way up to the cabin they all decided that they are done standing on the sideline. But each one don't know that they all are in love with her. Will this break up their brotherhood?

I liked this book. I could not put it down once I started reading it. There was some parts that was missing something. Sometimes it felt a little rushed in some areas. I would read another book by this author. I recommend this book others.… (mehr)
