I was surprised to enjoy this as much as I did, SF not being my typical choice of genre. The tech isn't overpowering, and the story is suspenseful. Definitely worth a read.

Short story. I had it figured out just a few pages in, and I'm not sure the format (text messages) was very effective. It was a decent light read. I've enjoyed other work from this author much more.

This second book in the Blood Mercenaries series really has the story hitting its stride. The characters and storyline have gelled, even while the story tears the characters apart. Garrick, my favorite character, has competition in this one, in the form of a fun side character you won't see coming. Enjoy!

The Blood Mercs thought Lord Valdis was trouble? Now they have to find and kill an enormous frost dragon before it can start a new Ice Age. They'll need help. Like, say, powerful but dysfunctional gods, maybe a sworn enemy... Oh, and an ancient warrior with a quirky moral compass. Hold onto your wyvern, this ride is bumpy.
