I LOVE THIS BOOK!! The simple yet touching story of learning to swim was unforgettable. The illustrations that went along with the story were beautiful and enhanced the readers experience. Overall, a must read touching and inspiring story of facing your fears and learning.

Storyline follows a mothers dialogue to her daughter about all of the amazing things they can do in the water after her daughter learning how to swim. I think this book does a great job at touching on bravery and would be great for primary students who a learning how to swim as well. Maybe introduced in the spring before summer when students will be in the water a lot over break.

I love this book! It's a sweet story about learning to swim, with beautiful pictures. Good for kids who are starting to swim and a nice read before summer break.

Premise/plot: Angie helps out her immigrant parents by translating. The family has [relatively recently] moved to Canada and Angie speaks the best English. She turns entrepreneur--in a way--and makes a 'business' of writing signs in English for others to use in their businesses. But sometimes things get lost in translation....

My thoughts: This is semi-bi-lingual. It is a family-focused picture book that celebrates community. I enjoyed this one.
