"The Virgin Club" by Kayley Wood is the first novel I have ever read from the author which tell the story about the heroine making it her mission to lost her virginity by her birthday which ideally was an interesting concept and she is stuck choosing between two leading men: her work colleague and new boss. I thought it as a cute story but nothing particularly stood out beside Logan poor treatment but moreso constant back and forth with Emma, and what I would deem as a weak and native heroine. Emma didn't exactly fall into my favorites and she seem a bit childish for my taste. Overall it was cute, plain and simple.

Taylor Reed, her aunt and her grandmother are the residents of an estate they don't own. No matter, as there is a good reason for this unusual arrangement. Unexpectedly, this arrangement is about to end. The owners, the Freemans, want the three generations of this family to move out as the property is to be sold. To oversee the renovations of property, Lucas Freeman takes up residence on the property and a relationship, of sorts, with Taylor, develops. They don't have much in common except that both their mothers died when they were young. Taylor finds Lucas to be uptight, sullen and "intense". As the result of a challenge she gives him we start to see a different Lucas. Will it last? And what effect will it have on their lives?

This is a marvelous story about wonderful people. The protagonists and the secondary characters are realistic and endearing. The dialogue is witty and fun to read. There are many iconic moments including one dinner party in particular.

Smart and cleverly written this is a wonderfully readable story. Highly recommended.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are my own.

This is book four of the Club Series by Kayley Wood. In this volume, we get Vivian's story. Vivian believes in love for others, but not for herself. She prides herself in being able to help others make love happen, but doesn't believe it possible for her. Her friends scheme behind her back to try and change Vivian's outlook on love.

I liked this story and how Vivian's character was explained. It made her appearances in previous books make more sense and I came to appreciate her for who she was. I liked the romance and interaction between her and Justin. I liked that we were able to read both Vivian's and Justin's points of view. I like seeing what the characters are feeling and how they work towards each other.

Overall a very satisfying end to the series in my opinion. I recommend this series to all my romance loving friends.

In this addition to the Club series by Kayley Wood, Lucas (Alex's brother from The Virgin Club) has been tasked by his father to claim an estate that belongs to their family. This estate has been lived on for several generations by the infamous Reed women. Lucas meets Taylor whose great-grandmother had a relationship with Lucas' great-grandfather. Taylor is a rather free spirit who has been wounded in love and Lucas is a straight-laced businessman with a broken heart of his own.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story and watching Lucas and Taylor interact. Lucas learns how to relax and allow himself to be open to love again, and Taylor learns that Reed women are worthy of a lasting love. The side characters in this story are interesting in their own right. There are some humorous predicaments as well as some very heartfelt moments that were very well written. I look forward to reading more from Kayley.… (mehr)
