Book 2 in the trilogy.
First of all you need to read book 1 before this one as the events follow on directly from book 1's ending. And this book ends on a cliffhanger, really not knowing what will happen next.
There was a lot going on.
Jesse has revealed his motives and he and Addy have fallen out.
She doesn't trust easily and now feels betrayed.
Its quite exciting, there are events going on in different locations so the reader changes POV a few times.
Jesse is totally devoted to Addy, it's really sweet, how this big strong guy has fallen.
There is ex drama, though no intimacy between anyone other than the Hero and heroine.
No cheating.
The ex drama adds a bit of humour as it's fun to watch Jesse squirm.
It ended and I moved straight in to book 3 as I needed to find out what will happen.

This is an interesting twist on a shifter story.

The heroine has questioned the mating connection, claiming and resists it as she feels once hormones and nature take over there is little choice, there is a reason why she feels this is not a good place for a shewolf to be in to do with her family history.

The Hero has a difficult situation in his pack with rogues etc so he rushed their mating and is pressured constantly by pack obligations that makes it difficult to sort things out with her.

There are no intimate details of anyone other than the Hero and heroine.

No cheating.
Small ex drama that is sorted quickly.

Hero has played the field but the heroine is a virgin, she suppressed sexual feeling with supplements to avoid mating so it works.

There are breadcrumbs dropped for future books in series.

This author usually has great grovel redemption for the Hero but in this one the realisation was late, it came at about 90% so it didn't feel enough and the ending felt rushed.
The next book looks good.

I thought this was really good.
Best to read the series in order as although each couple have a book the first hook sets out the foundation for this couples story.
There are secrets which cause issues.
No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine.
No cheating.
Other woman drama as he had left originally to pursue a future with another woman but he has returned and is unable to explain what happened.
Although we understand the situation between the Hero and other woman as to why it didn't work the details of their relationship is vague as regards intimacy.
It's quite an angsty story.
