The late Keith Young was an eighteen-year FDNY veteran. While stationed at Ladder 156 in Midwood, Brooklyn, he worked on rescue and recovery efforts at Ground Zero in the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. A graduate of the culinary program at Johnson Wales University, Young became known as mehr anzeigen the "Firehouse Chef" and won several TV cooking challenges, including an episode of Throwdown with Bobby Flay and two championship titles on Chopped.
