Über mich

I am a librarian and I write poetry. Primarily I am here to find new books to read and maybe connect with others who love poetry. I am looking for language and images, imaginations, neo-romantic, philosophical (like Thoreau's "real philosophers"), contemporary Wordsworthian (urban or rural) writers wandering lonely as a cloud, Dickinson-like writers who can "tell all the truth but tell it slant," Marianne Moore-like poets planting "real toads in imaginary gardens." I have an M.A. in literature and studied theory...but I guess my pleasure in poetry is not primarily intellectual...it is more child-like and imaginative...I have a love-hate relationship with punctuation though I know how it's supposed to work.
