Mostly science fiction and fantasy, which I got into as a young teen, but as I majored in English at college, there are a few classics there, as well. I am a re-reader, meaning I've read some books many many times. There are a few--Jane Eyre, To Kill a Mockingbird, Day of the Triffids, and some others--that I read at least once a year. I tend to collect authors, and have a few whose new books I snatch the minute they come out. If I enjoy a book, I keep it, but if I don't like it, Goodwill gets it.

Started reading early, so I've loved books nearly all my life. I write, also, but nothing published--yet. I have three children who are all readers, too--start'em young. That's the way to get 'em hooked.

In addition to reading, I hold a second-degree black belt in Shudokan Karate, do all kinds of hand crafts, and generally loathe housework. I am owned by four cats, none of whom shares my passion for books, although, of course, they ALWAYS want to have a look at the newspaper--when I'm trying to read it.
