Douglas Adams is my favourite author ever. After him, though, authors that I can't loose from the shelf are Margaret Atwood, Elizabeth von Arnhem, Deborah Gregory, Patricia Ferguson, Bill Bryson, Stephen Fry (novels). Books I re-read are "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency", Sandi Toksvig's "Whistling for the Elephants" and one or two of the classics (Jane Austen and Trollope).

Keen reader of contemporary fiction - I like literary fiction, but also sometimes relax with a good Nicci French or maybe a little sci-fi
