Another of my treasures, because of intrinsic happy memories associated with the text and the class I took, (An introduction to mathematics history). With a very special professor(now retired 7 years hence). I had great difficulty getting up early, but in that semester before my class, I walked up before the sun, walked eastward several blocks to get Sonic(TM) coffee and breakfast toaster, walk back peacefully and continue my preparations for this class. The fact that it's sonic is irrrkvant, the joy of breathing in the morning, and greeting the daystar....that is what is so soecial!

Also,, the beginning chapters introducing pre Hellenistic mathematics, we're an absolute treat. Especially trying to do basic arithmetic in ancient Babylonian (base 60) number system at 6:00 AM. Not as insane or nerdy as it sounds. Ha ha! ( )
